Swiss coach Nora Hauptle was left emotional after leading the Black Queens back to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations following an aggregate win over Namibia.

Despite suffering a 1-0 defeat in South Africa, Ghana sealed qualification with a 3-2 score from both legs.

Hauptle has been on a good run of form with the national team, winning ten of her previous games before the defeat on Tuesday.

In a video shared on social media, the Black Queens coach burst into tears at the blast of the final whistle.

The team will now switch attention to the Olympic Games qualifiers next year, with the Black Queens set to face Zambia in the final round.

"Congratulations! Black Queens. Ghana is proud of what you represent; Passion, Determination and hard work. Ayekoo to the entire team," wrote Ghana FA boss, Kurt Okraku on social media after the match.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports also congratulated the team after securing qualification for the tournament.

"Congratulations to the Black Queens for Qualifying to the next African Women's Cup of Nations!!," they posted on X.

Ghana have been runners-up at the tournament on three occasions.

Doris Boaduwaa hits 'siuu' in Ghana's win

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Queens forward, Doris Boaduwaa took a leaf out of Cristiano Ronaldo's books after hitting the famous 'siuu' celebration following her brace in Ghana's win over Namibia.

The Black Queens defeated Namibia 3-1 in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Accra.

The team will travel to South Africa for the second leg on Tuesday as the Black Queens chase one of the tickets for the tournament in Morocco next year.

Ghana to face Zambia in Olympic Games qualifiers

Sports Brief reported that the Black Queens of Ghana will face Zambia in the third round of qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Ghanaian women's national team reached the next stage of qualifiers after thumping Benin 5-0 on aggregate on Tuesday.

Having beaten their West African neighbours 3-0 in the first leg in Cotonou, the Black Queens made light work of their opponents in Accra, winning 2-0.
