2024 is just around the corner, meaning the Copa America is not far away.

Argentina's national football team will head to the United States this coming June to defend the title they dramatically won against Brazil in 2021.

Sports Brief looks at Messi’s upcoming schedule in the 2024 Copa America as Argentina plot their title defence in the USA.

Argentina’s Copa America group-stage matches

Argentina vs. A4 (June 20)

The reigning Copa America champions will begin their title defence on June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, per Goal.com.

Argentina will face one of the countries in Pot 4, which includes Jamaica, Bolivia, CONCACAF 5 (Trinidad and Tobago or Canada), and CONCACAF 6 (Honduras or Costa Rica).

Mercedes-Benz Stadium serves as the home field of the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) and Atlanta United FC (MLS). It can hold up to 73,019 people for soccer matches.

Argentina vs. A3 (June 25)

La Albiceleste will play their second match in Group A on June 25 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

They will face one of the countries in Pot 3, which includes Chile, Panama, Venezuela, and Paraguay.

MetLife Stadium serves as the home field of the New York Giants and the New York Jets in the NFL.

The record attendance for a football match in this venue was set this past July when 82,262 people watched the pre-season game between Manchester United and Arsenal.

Argentina vs. A2 (June 29)

Argentina will play their final match in Group A on June 29 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, per the Miami Herald.

They will face one of the countries in Pot 2, which includes Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Hard Rock Stadium serves as the home field of the Miami Dolphins (NFL) and the Miami Hurricanes (NCAAF).

The record attendance for a match in this venue was set back in 2013 when 80,120 people watched the BCS National Championship Game.

Argentina’s three opponents in the group stage will be determined this coming Thursday, December 7. The draw will take place at 7:30 pm ET in Miami.

Messi's 2024 schedule
