Recap of match day 14 results

In Buraidah, league leaders Al-Hilal put on a goal-scoring spectacle against Al Hazem, dominating the match with an unforgettable 9-0 victory, according to Zawya.com.

Red-hot Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring within 15 minutes, followed by Mohammed Kanno's impressive long-range strike.

The first half ended 3-0 after Mohammed Al Qahtani's goal. In the second half, Brazilian winger Malcom netted a hat-trick, while Saleh Al Shehri, Al Burayk, and Sergei Milinkovic-Savic contributed goals.

Hilal's handsome victory surpassed Al Ittihad's 12-year record of an 8-0 win, setting a new benchmark in Saudi League history.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr secured a 3-0 win against Al Akhdoud, with Cristiano Ronaldo increasing his goal tally to 15. Sami Al Naji opened the scoring, but Ronaldo stole the show with two incredible goals, per Livescore.

His first was a brilliant near-post finish after an exceptional first touch, while his second was an audacious long-range strike that left the goalkeeper helpless.

Reigning champions Al Ittihad, on the other hand, faced a tough 1-1 draw against Al Ettifaq. Gini Wijnaldum scored for Al Ettifaq, but Abderrazak Hamdallah equalized for the Tigers, Daily Sports reports.

Elsewhere, Al Taawoon suffered a surprising 2-1 home defeat to newcomers Al Riyadh, while Al Wehda secured a 3-1 victory thanks to Odion Ighalo's hat-trick against Al Khaleej.

In the battle of former champions in Jeddah, Al Ahly and Al Shabab ended goalless in a match lacking in scoring action.

While Al Ahly's game failed to produce goals, there was an avalanche of them in the standout game that featured Al Tai's stunning comeback against Al Raed in a thrilling seven-goal match.

Despite Al Raed leading 3-1, Bernard Mensah led Al Tai's miraculous turnaround, scoring twice from penalties, and Virgil Misidjan sealed the incredible win in added time.

Saudi League standings

The Saudi Pro League standings have remained largely unchanged after the international break.

Al-Hilal continues to dominate at the top, leading with an impressive 38 points from 14 matches and boasting the highest goal tally in the league.

Al-Nassr, last season's runners-up, narrowly trail behind their Riyadh neighbours, having scored 39 goals and securing 34 points ahead of their upcoming clash with Al-Hilal.

Jeddah-based club Al Ahly holds onto the third spot despite a goalless draw, while Al Ittihad made progress after Gallardo's debut game. On the other hand, Al Taawoon has slipped down the ranks due to recent poor results.

In the top half of the table, Al Fateh, Gerrard's Al Ettifaq, Al Feiha, and Al Wehda complete the standings.

The bottom three clubs—Al Akhdoud, Al Raed, and Al Hazem—maintain their positions, with Al Hazem struggling at the bottom with just seven points after conceding 41 goals.
