A supercomputer has projected the potential final standings of the La Liga table after Girona's exceptional performance in the current 2023-2024 season.

Surprise package Girona seek a return to victory this Saturday afternoon as they carry on their La Liga campaign at home against Valencia.

The hosts lost their leading position to Real Madrid last weekend and couldn't reclaim the top spot, settling for a 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao on Monday.

According to Sportsmole, the Catalan outfit continue to have an impressive campaign so far, securing 11 wins, two draws, and one loss in their 14 league matches, accumulating a total of 35 points.

Despite their strong performance, they currently sit in second place in the table due to their head-to-head record with Real Madrid, having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Los Blancos at the end of September.

Supercomputer'sLa Liga prediction

Per the Supercomputer from The Analyst via Tribuna, Girona are not predicted to clinch the La Liga title this season. It also doesn't favour Barcelona for the win. Instead, the computer anticipates Real Madrid emerging as the champions this time around.

As per this supercomputer's analysis, Girona holds a modest 0.6% likelihood of winning La Liga this season. Nevertheless, there is a robust prediction of a top-four finish for them, with a probability of 36.1%.

Barcelona face a 7.5% chance of defending their title, a figure lower than Atletico's 12.3%.

Real Madrid have been identified as the clear favourites, boasting a 79.4% likelihood of securing the title this season.
