  • Antony was spotted making a gesture of apology to Galatasaray fans
  • The Turkish club fought back to hold Manchester United 3-3
  • The home fans had asked the Red Devils to prepare for 'hell'

Antony was spotted apologising to Galatasaray fans after Alejandro Garnacho's opening goal on November 29.

The two teams cancelled out each other in a riveting three-all draw that left Manchester United needing a miracle to qualify for the round of 16 on the final match day.

The Red Devils threw away a 3-1 lead to leave Turkey with a solitary point on a night where the home fans had prepared them for 'hell,' as captured by TNT Sports.

Riding high from his stunning overhead kick over the weekend, Granacho continued his good run of form, opening the scoring after 11 minutes.

Did Antony apologise to Galatasaray fans?

The Argentine teenager rushed to one end of the pitch, which presumably had Galatasaray fans, before hitting the calma celebration. The fans were understandably angered by that gesture and started throwing things on the pitch.

Footage shows Antony appearing to apologise to the fans with his hands on his chest. The Brazilian stepped away from his teammates and seemed to communicate with the fans.

Here is the video of that incident;

Bruno Fernandes added a second seven minutes later before Hakim Ziyech pulled one back before halftime. Scott McTominay thought he had wrapped up things with a close-range finish in the 65th minute, only for Ziyech to once again benefit from poor goalkeeping to halve the deficit.

Kerem Akturkoglu came off the bench to score the equalising goal. The result leaves Erik ten Hag's side rooted at the base of Group A ahead of Bayern Munich's visit to Old Trafford this month.

Garnacho pays tribute to Ronaldo

Sports Brief recently reported on Garnacho hitting Ronaldo's Siuuu celebration after his goal against Everton.

He copied the Al-Nassr superstar after opening the scoring with a bicycle kick attempt in the third minute.

This wasn't the first time Garnacho pulled off the iconic celebration of his confessed idol, Ronaldo.
