Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's father, Badri has disclosed that his son has ambitions to play for Real Madrid sometime in the future.
Those comments emerged after Napoli were beaten 4-2 by the Spanish giants in the UEFA Champions League.
The Georgian had a breakthrough season in 2023/24 with Napoli. His impressive performances helped the club secure their first Serie A title in 33 years.
He formed a deadly partnership with Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen and made the Neapolitans the most entertaining team in Europe.
Last season, he scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists and was named in the Team of the Season alongside his teammates Osimhen, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and defender Kim Min-Jae.
The 22-year-old has four goals and four assists in 12 games this season, per Transfermarkt.
Kvaratskhelia's father on Real Madrid
The father of the young winger reportedly said his son dreams of playing for Los Blancos.
"Khvicha always dreamed and still dreams of playing for Real Madrid. I am sure about it," he remarked, via Fabrizio Romano.
"For Khvicha, playing vs Real Madrid was special. In my family, everyone is a Real Madrid supporter, except me," he added.
However, a move to the Spanish club is highly unlikely for now. He is a right-footer who normally plays on the left, which means he will have to compete for a spot with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
I he does get to Real Madrid, he could choose to play on the right, where a position which could be up for grabs.
Moreover, Kylian Mbappe is widely expected to join Real Madrid, so having to compete for a spot with arguably the best player in the world would not be ideal.
