  • Issahaku is currently on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon

Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Isshaku scored a powerful goal to mark his second for Leicester City as they drew on the road against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 19-year-old opened the scoring for the Foxes at Hillsborough, but Sheffield Wednesday scored late to deny the visitors victory.

Isshaku, who is on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, lasted an hour and had to be replaced by Kasey McAteer.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Issahaku brilliantly controlled a cross from Steven Mavidivi before smashing it past Cameron Dawson in the Sheffield Wednesday polls.

Despite the late equalizer from Jeff Hendrick, the former Premier League champions sit at the top of the English Championship table as the pursuit for an early return to the topflight continues.

Issahaku has now scored two goals and provided an assist in 14 matches for Leicester City, per transfermarkt.

His performances for the English club could see him signing a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Leicester City could lose the winger in the January transfer window with the Africa Cup of Nations set to start in two months in Ivory Coast.

Ghana have been drawn in Group B alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique ahead of the competition in January.

Issahaku entertains Leicester City teammates

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku thrilled his Leicester City teammates after jamming to Shatta Wale's hit record, Freedom, in the changing room at the end of the match against Sunderland.

Issahaku has become a key figure at Leicester City since his loan move in the summer transfer window, helping the Foxes to the top of the English Championship table.

The 19-year-old scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 win on Saturday against Swansea City before seeing 80 minutes of action in the 1-0 victory over Sunderland.
