  • Alejandro Garnacho gave a fan the boots he used to score the bicycle kick vs Everton
  • Garnacho scored a goal-of-the-season contender in Manchester United's 3-0 victory
  • It was an all-round complete performance from Erik ten Hag's team away from home

Alejandro Garnacho made the day of a young fan after gifting him the boots he used to score the astonishing overhead kick against Everton on November 26.

Garnacho left everyone shellshocked when he sent the bicycle kick past Jordan Pickford after three minutes of the Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

It has been labelled as one of the Premier League's best goals, with comparisons drawn to Wayne Rooney's effort against Manchester City and Cristiano Ronaldo's against Juventus.

United's Garnacho gifts young fan

The Argentine has now willingly surrendered his boots to a young Manchester United fan who met him as he left the Carrington training complex.

In the video, the fan named George explains how Garnacho's goal was better than Rooney's as he shows the teenager a cut out of the stunning goal.

The Red Devils' forward then proceeds to gift George the boots he wore when he scored the overhead kick, with the young fan barely able contain his emotions in what makes for wholesome viewing.

It was Garnacho's first goal since September 26, when he netted against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored the other goals in the Everton rout to take Erik ten Hag's men to sixth place on the Premier League table.

They next face a daunting trip to Turkey to play Galatasaray in a bid to resuscitate their fast-dwindling UEFA Champions League hopes. Anything less than a win against the team that beat them at Old Trafford will all but end their hopes for a round of 16 qualification.

Greatest bicycle kicks of all time

Football has, over time, proven to be a game of great skill and composure and as far as aesthetic goals go, scoring with a bicycle kick is perhaps the greatest way one can net a goal.

Also known as the overhead or the scissors kick, it usually sees a player strike the ball mid-air with his back turned towards the goal, suspended in the air and timing it perfectly.

Leaping and connecting with the ball at an opportune time is an art not many can reproduce. Sports Brief takes a look at some of the greatest bicycle kicks in football's history.
