The former Arsenal star did however score his first official goal for Fulham in the Carabao Cup against Norwich City.
In a video shared on social media, Iwobi scored the first goal of the game between Fulham and Wolves at the Craven Cottage.
The Super Eagles midfielder turned in a cut-back from USMNT left-back Antonee Robinson in the seventh minute of play.
Former Atletico Madrid striker Matheus Cunha levelled things up a few minutes later before Willian restored the lead for the home side.
Hwang Hee-Chan thought he had sealed a point for the visitors in the 75th minute from the penalty spot, but a late goal from former Chelsea winger, Willian secured all three points for Marco Silva's men, according to Soccerway.
Iwobi was on the pitch for the entire minutes of play alongside fellow countryman Calvin Bassey.
