Al Ahly's former director of football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz praised the former Al Ahly coach for their time together with the Egyptian giants, according to a report by KingFut.

Mosimane took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to thank Abdel-Hafiz for his kind words and reminisce about his time with the Red Devils.

"Thanks, Sayed. Best moments and memories with Al Ahly SC," he said.
"We were like the Vikings and raided Africa, and South America, and really punished Asia, only to be stopped by Europe."

The 59-year-old also recalled their progress in the FIFA Club World Cup where they finished third in the last two editions of the tournament.

"At least we always came home with a bronze medal as the third-best team in the world. I’ll take these great football memories down to the grave," he added.
