Kai Havertz has sent fans a heartwarming message after he helped Arsenal climb to the top of the Premier League table.

The German star has endured a frustrating start to life since he swapped Chelsea for the Gunners in the summer.

According to Sky Sports, the north Londoners forked out an eyewatering £65m to land the services of the 24-year-old on a five-year deal.

However, Havertz has struggled to live up to his billing since the move, courting criticism and disapproval from the Arsenal fan base.

The former Chelsea star showed just how much potential he has on Saturday when he came off the bench to end his goal drought with the winner against Brentford on Saturday, November 25.

Havertz send fans message

The Germany international has now taken to social media to express his gratitude for the support shown to him as he battled to rediscover his form.

"BIG win on the road!! Thank you for all the support ❤️ Another big game to prepare for now. #COYG," he posted on X.

Meanwhile, his last-gasp goal was enough to send Arsenal to the top of the Premier League standings at the expense of Manchester City and Liverpool.

City and Liverpool settled for a 1-1 drab draw earlier on Saturday, handing the Gunners a golden chance to go to the top.

Arteta pushes Havertz towards fans

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Mikel Arteta has warmed hearts for his class gesture towards Kai Havertz after he scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Brentford.

Havertz started the Saturday match from the bench before he was introduced in the second half, with the scores still 0-0.

The former Chelsea star emerged the match hero by scoring a last-gasp winner to send the Gunners to the summit of the Premier League standings.
