Nigerian international Olisa Ndah has bagged the Orlando Pirates’ Player of the Month for October 2023, following his impressive performances.

The club made this disclosure on their X handle after the defender helped them to two wins and two draws during the course of the month.

The 25-year-old was in action in all four of their matches during the month and he was outstanding in Pirates' win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the 8 Cup.

Bucs won the pulsating encounter 3-1 via penalty shootout as the match had ended 0-0 in regulation time, where Ndah came on in the 34th minute.

The former Akwa United star has made five appearances in the South African league this season, Complete Sports reports.

Pirates are in seventh place on 15 points after 10 games in the league table. Ndah will hope to help them record a third straight win when they take on Richards Bay on Saturday in a league clash.

Orlando Pirates suspend Lorch

Sports Brief earlier reported that the reprieve of the judge's gavel gave way to vexation for Thembinkosi Lorch as the club announced they would be suspending the player, if only for several weeks, while the club goes through their own process.

Lorch was found guilty of assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm for an incident in 2020, and sentenced on November 21 to three years in prison, all of which were suspended for five years

The star has played seven times for the Buccaneers this season, including two Man of the Match performances in the Carling Knockout Cup and an instrumental 90 minutes in the Soweto Derby.
