The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has announced the introduction of a new badge to be displayed on the shirt of the leading goal-scorer in Ligue 1 each week.
This distinctive badge, labelled 'S1', carries symbolic significance, with 'S' representing scorer and the number one denoting the player's status as the top scorer in Ligue 1.
Mbappe, currently leading the goal standings with 13 goals, is set to get the honour of wearing this badge in the upcoming match.
Former PSG forward, Pedro Pauleta will have the honour of presenting the jersey to the Parisians' number seven.
According to PSGReport, this ceremonial act will be a weekly occurrence, with the badge changing hands whenever there is a new leader in the Ligue 1 top scorers table.
