AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has addressed speculations regarding his potential move to Saudi Arabia.
The experienced Portuguese coach was previously linked to the vacant coaching role of the Saudi Arabian national team, a position now held by Roberto Mancini, the former Manchester City coach.
However, with Mourinho's contract with the Giallorossi set to conclude next summer, rumours about a switch to the Middle East have reemerged.
Responding to inquiries about the possibility of this move, the former Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid manager expressed a degree of optimism about a potential shift from Europe to the Middle East.
Nonetheless, he remained uncertain about the specific timeline for such a transition.
“I think one day I will join the Saudi Pro League. I think I will go and coach there, yes”.
“But that day won’t be tomorrow or after tomorrow," he told Rai1, as cited by Fabrizio Romano.
Mourinho's next line of action
At present, Mourinho's AS Roma occupies the seventh position in Serie A, trailing by three points behind the Champions League qualification spots.
Their upcoming fixture is against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on November 26 in the Italian Serie A, per Sofascore, following the conclusion of the international break.
