South African youngster Luke Baartman has reportedly attracted interest from Scottish champions Celtic after his impressive start of life with Cape Town Spurs.
The youngster recently made his first team debut for Cape Town Spurs in the Carling Knockout Cup against Orlando Pirates.
Baartman, who is fondly called Boere, could not prevent his team from losing 2-0 to the Bucs.
He eventually hit the spotlight when he scored his first professional goal in the DStv Premiership game against Kaizer Chiefs, but they eventually lost 3-2 to the Glamour Boys.
The Cape Town Spurs starlet's performance has caught the eyes of Scottish giants Celtics, and they are monitoring his progress in the South African league, according to a report by Scottish Sun as per iDiskiTimes.
Celtic are not the only club eyeing a move for the 17-year-old forward, with English side Leeds United also monitoring his progress.
Celtic and Leeds United would have to wait till next summer transfer window before they can make a move for him, due to his age.
The South African forward will clock 18 in June next year and would be eligible to make an international move according to FIFA rules.

At 17 years, 4 months and 27 days, Baartman was the fifth-youngest player to score in South African domestic competitions when he netted against Kaizer Chiefs in the South African League.
