  • Harry Kane remains one of football's finest forwards in recent times
  • The Bayern Munich star has been in immense form since his summer transfer
  • The England star has included a Real Madrid midfielder in ultimate striker list

Harry Kane continues to enjoy a brilliant start to life at Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old striker, who previously dominated the English Premier League, secured a record €100 million transfer to the Bavarian club during the summer transfer window.

According to Whoscored, Kane has contributed to 28 goals in just 16 appearances for Thomas Tuchel's team. His remarkable form hasn't been limited to the club level; he continued to shine at the international stage by scoring in both of England's UEFA Euro qualifying matches against Malta and North Macedonia. Kane's outstanding performances have even fuelled talks about him clinching the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

However, amid his stellar start with Bayern Munich, the former Tottenham forward has outlined his concept of the ultimate striker.

Kane names his ultimate striker

Kane, who recently sat in an interview with ESPN UK, used a flurry of players, including Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, to create his ultimate striker.

When given specific qualities to consider, Kane selected Edinson Cavani for movement, Ronaldo for speed, Peter Crouch for heading, himself for finishing, Didier Drogba for strength, Kylian Mbappe for dribbling, Wayne Rooney for link-up play, and surprisingly, midfielder Jude Bellingham for work rate.

While Kane's picks have sparked a range of reactions, it was the inclusion of Jude Bellingham that stirred the most discussion. Some attribute Bellingham's unexpected presence to his outstanding goal-scoring form with Real Madrid this season. However, others argue that despite impressive statistics, Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi should have been the preferred choice for that position in the hypothetical team.

Fans' reaction to Bellingham's inclusion

@Views09 expressed disbelief:

“Preferring Bellingham over Moussa Dembele in terms of work rate? Harry Kane must be kidding 😂😂😂”

@Chava_snr, seemingly delighted by the prospect of the midfielder's inclusion, remarked:

"Jude stands out so much from the rest of the players in this generation; he's carved a niche that's not rightfully his, it's absurd!"

@O_biora kept it succinct:

"Game recognises game."

@Moveslikemilan, unimpressed by the Bellingham hype, questioned the choice:

"How do you overlook Suarez and opt for Jude based on work rate? 😭"

Kane sets Bundesliga record

Sports Brief also previously reported on Kane setting a Bundesliga record with his brace for Bayern Munich against Heidenheim FC.

He made history by becoming the first player in the 61-year history of the Bundesliga to score 17 goals in his first 11 league matches.

Kane has surpassed last season's top tally of 16, which saw Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku win the Golden Cannon Award.
