Romelu Lukaku was the man of the moment during Belgium's 5-0 huge win over Azerbaijan on Sunday, November 19, during their UEFA Euro Qualifiers.

The Chelsea striker, who is on loan at Roma, scored four of the five goals to inspire the Red Devils to a vital win in the Group F clash.

According to Sky Sports, Lukaku headed home the opener in the 17th minute from Jeremy Doku's cross before Eddy Pascual restored parity for Azerbaijan six minutes later.

However, the Blues' star scored three more goals before the break to put Belgium in the driving seat of the tie.

The 30-year-old's four goals saw him climb to the top scorers' charts in the Euro 2024 with 14 goals, four more than Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Incredibly, the haul also saw him climb ahead of Neymar and Germany legend Miroslav Klose on the list of players who have scored the most international goals since 2000.

Ronaldo, Messi lead list of highest scorers

However, the Belgium international, who has now scored 80 goals for his country, has some work to do before he can catch up with Lionel Messi and Ronaldo.

Messi and Ronaldo are leading the way on the list of players who have netted the most goals for their respective countries since the turn of the new millennium.

According to GiveMeSports, Ronaldo is currently topping the charts with an incredible 127 goals to his name for Portugal in 203 appearances.

Messi ranks second with 106 goals for Argentina, while Sunil Chhetri is third with 82 goals for India.

Robert Lewandowski and Lukaku complete the top-five podium, with the former boasting 81 goals for Polan in more than 140 appearances.
