FootballBukayo Saka: England Fan Sends Cute Message to Arsenal Star During Malta Win
- Bukayo Saka starred in England's Euro 2024 qualifier win over Malta
- He came on in the second half and assisted Harry Kane's goal
- An England fan displayed a cardboard with a cute message for him
Bukayo Saka is loved by the England fans, and one of them went the extra mile to send a message to the Arsenal star while he was on international duty last night.
Saka is an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions but started off the bench against Malta and came on in the second half for former Chelsea star Fikayo Tomori.
He assisted Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane for the second goal to help his country see out the win in a subpar performance from the Euro 2020 finalists.
It helped the team maintain their six-point lead at the top of Group C over Italy and Ukraine, both of whom are on 13 points each to England's 21 points.
Fan sends message to Saka
Saka's lowest moment with the national team was missing the last spot kick in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley against Italy, which made him the subject of racial abuse.
He has moved on from the incident and delivered top-class performances for the country, earning him the love of the football-crazy English fans.
As spotted by SportBible, a fan displayed a cardboard paper which has a message for the 22-year-old.
“Saka, my mum thinks you’re cute,” the message reads.
The winger of Nigerian descent has been named England Men’s Player of the Year in the last two consecutive years.
He won the PFA Young Player of the Year last season after helping Arsenal to a brilliant season which nearly saw them with their first Premier League title in 19 years, if not for a late capitulation.
