FootballMan City's De Bruyne Debunks Reports He Co Wrote 'Wick Man' with Rapper Drake
- Kevin De Bruyne is currently rehabilitating after surgery on a recurring hamstring injury
- The Belgian was claimed to have 'teamed up' with Drake to co-write his song 'Wick Man'
- De Bruyne has now denied the claims after initially teasing fans with a social media post
Kevin De Bruyne and Drake were thought to have produced the most random collaboration, as the Manchester City star continues recovery from injury.
The Belgian is out until the new year after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury, which saw him limp off in the UEFA Champions League final and City's first league game of the season.
It was the second time he would walk out of a Champions League final, having also left the 2021 loss to Chelsea with a broken eye socket after a collision with Antonio Rudiger.
De Bruyne 'co-wrote' Drake's song
As noted by Complex, the Belgian playmaker featured on Drake's song Wick Man as a writer, leaving football fans awed at the random collaboration not anyone knew we needed.
Wick Man is a single from the American rapper’s latest project, For All The Dogs, which features several artists, including J Cole, 21 Savage, and SZA, amongst others.
The 32-year-old has now debunked the claims he was the co-writer of the song with a social media post, after initially teasing fans into believing he did.
This would not have been the first time a footballer created music; quite a number of them have done it. West Ham striker, Michail Antonio released a rap album last year.
Per Planet Football, Chelsea legend, Petr Cech is outstanding at drumming, Alexis Sanchez plays the piano, and former Atletico Madrid striker, Jackson Martinez released a gospel album in 2016.

Drake and J Cole recreate chess photo
Sports Brief also reported on Drake and J Cole recreating Messi and Ronaldo's chess photo, which was sponsored by Louis Vuitton, ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The two rappers re-enacted the scene in the music video for First Person Shooter off the For All The Dogs album, a video which featured a series of other activities.
Ronaldo and Messi were not in the same room for the famous photo, with the image actually merged from different shoots by iconic photographer, Annie Leibovitz.
