Nathan Ake is one of the most versatile Premier League footballers and has recently shown he is talented off the pitch and has nice piano skills as well.

The Dutch defender spent time at Chelsea's famous academy at Cobham and had successful loan spells at Reading, Watford and Bournemouth, joining the latter permanently.

He spent five years at the Vitality Stadium before linking up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in 2020 for £41m, according to ESPN, and is one of the first names on the team sheet this season despite struggling in his first two seasons.

Ake shows off piano skill

The 25-year-old Dutch international, in a video published on Twitter by Sky Sports, showed off his skills on the musical instrument.

''Since the first lockdown,'' he said when asked when he started playing. ''We just had so much time. I have always wanted to be able to play an instrument. When I was young, I did a little bit of guitar, but I got less time because of football, so I never really picked up.''

He admitted he had less time to practice due to his busy schedule and the birth of his child with his wife, Kaylee. The baby was induced early last year to allow him to witness it before he went to the World Cup, as reported by Telegraph UK.

When Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in 2018, a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way, the announcement video on Twitter @ManUtd was that of the Chilean playing piano.
