Players of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, have arrived in Kumasi ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar on Friday.
The squad led by captain Andre Ayew and the technical team touched down in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon and will hold their first training later today.
The Black Stars open their qualifying campaign at home before travelling to the Comoros Islands three days later for their second Group I game.
In photos shared on social media, Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah, and the rest of the team were all spotted in the Ashanti Regional capital.
Meanwhile, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Nurudeen Abdulai also made the team after receiving a late invite from coach Chris Hughton. The Leicester City and Medeama SC players replaced Kamaldeen Sulemana and Abdul Mumin Suleiman, as reported by citineswsroom.com.
The team will continue preparations through to Thursday, with the big game on Friday afternoon.
The four-time African champions are chasing a fifth appearance at the global showpiece after exiting at the group stage in Qatar 2022.
The games will also serve as preparations towards the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Ghana players arrive ahead of World Cup qualifiers
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that players of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars have arrived ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros Islands.
The Black Stars will host Madagascar on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before travelling to Comoros three days later.

Andre Ayew joins Le Havre in France
Sports Brief also reported that Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew has joined Le Havre AC after five months without a club.
The 33-year-old returned to Europe to sign a deal that will see him stay at the French club until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The former Olympique Marseille forward is expected to play a key role at the club due to his enormous experience in the French league.
