  • Robert Lewandowski has gone viral for his treatment of Lamine Yamal
  • The Poe reprimanded the youngster for neglecting to cross the ball to the far post
  • The veteran striker scored twice as Barcelona defeated Alves 2-1

Robert Lewandowski was seen expressing frustration towards Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal during Sunday's 2-1 victory against Alaves.

The Polish international, at times visibly frustrated during the game at Montjuic, ultimately proved pivotal by scoring twice to secure a victory for Barcelona.

A video has surfaced online showing Lewandowski appearing clearly upset with Yamal after the teenager opted for goal instead of delivering the ball into the box where the striker was positioned.

Compounding the situation, Yamal extends a hand towards Lewandowski in a gesture of reconciliation, but the Barcelona No. 9 completely ignores the offer.

This incident doesn't reflect well on Barcelona, especially considering Lewandowski's role as one of the team's most experienced members.

As a veteran, he is expected to set an example for the younger players in the squad.

Interestingly, Lewandowski had previously spoken highly of the teenager, expressing in September that he had never encountered a player quite like him.

However, he cautioned that the young talent "should still have a childhood", Barca Blaugranes reported.

Fortunately, both players will now embark on international duty, with Lamine joining up with the Spain squad and Lewandowski being named in the Poland squad.

This break might provide a chance for tensions to ease and for the team to regroup before returning to club duties.

Lewansdowski's brace rescues Barcelona

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski ended his barren goalscoring spell with a brace to rescue the Spanish champions a 2-1 win over visiting Alaves in La Liga on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Ivan Rakitic snatched Sevilla a 1-1 home draw against Real Betis in a pulsating Seville derby with a long-range piledriver.

Samu Omorodion sent Alaves ahead in the first minute against a dire Barcelona but Lewandowski's second half double rescued the hosts three points.

Barca eyeing Lewandowski’s replacements

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close eye on Super Eagles strikers Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen as potential replacements for Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker joined the Catalans from Bayern Munich last summer in a deal reportedly worth €50 million, leading them to the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup.

Despite Lewandowski's success with La Blaugrana, manager Xavi Hernandez is said to be planning for the future and is looking for an eventual replacement for Lewandowski.
