  • Chelsea and Manchester City produced a classic game at Stamford Bridge
  • Cole Palmer dazzled against his former club with a goal to draw it level
  • He was caught trying to pull a smart one on his former teammates

Cole Palmer either thought he was still at Manchester City or was trying to use familiarity to snitch on his former teammates during a discussion in the second half.

Palmer and Raheem Sterling faced their former club, Manchester City, in a classic encounter at Stamford Bridge, which ended in a 4-4 draw after over 100 minutes.

Both players got on the scoresheet as the Blues kept coming back despite going behind three times in the game and ensured they picked a point even though their performance deserved more.

Per The Athletic, the Londoners paid £40 million to sign the England U21 from City in the summer, while they paid £50mil for the experienced winger a year ago.

Palmer caught stealing City's tactics

The young attacker put up a performance that would make City question why they sold him, and it was his penalty in the additional minutes of the second half that denied Pep Guardiola's side victory.

He was everywhere for his new team, and as seen in a video shared on social media, he tried to listen to their tactical conversation at some point in the second half.

Ruben Dias quickly sniffed him out before Erling Haaland pushed him away, and both were laughing hysterically at the smart one their former mate tried to pull on them.

Mauricio Pochettino's men got the plaudits they deserved after two entertaining games against Tottenham Hotspur and City within a week, proving they can match up to the best teams despite being young and inexperienced.

Pochettino snubs Guardiola at full time

Sports Brief previously reported on Pochettino snubbing Guardiola at full time and storming at the match officials led by Anthony Taylor to give a piece of his mind.

It was quite a fair performance from the official who had overseen some games involving the two-time Champions League winner in the past and was scandalous.
