FootballDarwin Nunez: Fans Troll Liverpool Striker for ‘Missing’ Toulouse Player’s Handshake
- Liverpool lost 3-2 away to Toulouse in the UEFA Europa League group game
- The Reds were displeased with the officiating with an equaliser disallowed
- Striker, Darwin Nunez's attempt to protest led to some trolling by rival fans
Darwin Nunez can't catch a break from missing and this time, it was not a goal but something as trivial as a handshake, which saw fans pounce on him on social media.
Liverpool lost 3-2 away to Toulouse in the fourth group stage game of the UEFA Europa League, the same team they beat 5-1 at Anfield two weeks ago.
The Reds felt let down by the level of officiating, which saw a couple of disallowed goals and five yellow cards in the additional minutes of the second half - four against them.
Per talkSPORT, the English club should thank their stars they were not reduced to 10 men in the first half after midfielder, Wataru Endo saw a booking for a similar foul Marcus Rashford saw red for on Wednesday.
Fans troll Darwin Nunez
Uruguayan striker, Nunez saw a yellow card for arguing in the final minutes and was still angry at full-time, seemingly refusing to shake the hand of Toulouse player, Frank Magri, as spotted by TNT Sports.
Per Livescore, the former Benfica forward has missed five big chances in the Europa League this season, two more than any player, which led to some hilarious trolling from rival fans.

Liverpool's Nunez missed an empty net
Sports Brief previously reported on Darwin Nunez's horrible miss for Liverpool against Toulouse during the first-leg Europa League victory over the French side.
The Uruguayan striker was put through on goal, left a defender for dead, but rattled his effort off the post. However, Ryan Gravenberch then saved his blushes.
