  • Marcus Rashford has endured his fair share of struggles since the start of the new season
  • The forward is said to be staring at an uncertain future with Manchester United
  • The claims come just months after Rashford penned a new five-year contract at Old Trafford

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has responded to rumours linking him with a possible Old Trafford exit.

Rashford has endured a frustrating start to the Premier League new season, with the Englishman scoring just once in 10 outings.

The 26-year-old was not part of United's recent outing when they beat Fulham 1-0 in the Premier League, with Erik ten Hag dropping him for failing a late fitness test on a knock suffered in training.

His absence from the Craven Cottage trip also came after he came under fire from ten Hag, who called him out for visiting a nightclub to celebrate his birthday immediately after the 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Rashford's Man United future

According to talkSPORT, these circumstances led The United Stand to speculate that Rashford's future at the club could be in doubt.

The Manchester United fan channel, which commands more than 2 million followers on X, took to the platform to suggest that the forward's future at Old Trafford could be up in the air.

However, Rashford quickly hit back at the claims, describing them as 'malicious.'

"Please STOP spreading malicious rumours," he responded.

The speculation surrounding Rashford's United future comes just months after he penned a new five-year deal, becoming the club's highest earner on £375,000-a-week.

United fans send message to players

Sports Brief reported on United fans' message to the players before their 1-0 scrappy win over Fulham away at Craven Cottage.

The fans had enough of the poor result and lacklustre performance and displayed a banner during warm-up asking the players to play like they meant it.

Midfielder Scott McTominay, who scored a goal which was disallowed for offside, claimed the players heard the fans, though the performance did not reflect the result.
