  • Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly scored 400 goals since turning 30 years old
  • The Portuguese phenom has averaged 50 goals per year for eight straight years
  • He has been menacing since the start of the new season, with 24 goals so far

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly achieved a remarkable milestone, scoring his 400th career goal since turning 30 with a breathtaking long-range strike in Al-Nassr's 2-0 triumph over Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League on November 4.

In total, the goal marked Ronaldo's 863rd senior career goal, spanning his stints with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now the Knights of Najd in the Middle East.

According to Fan Nation, when Cristiano celebrated his 30th birthday in February 2015, his career tally already stood at 463 goals.

Since then, the Portuguese phenomenon has continued to bolster his record with an impressive and unprecedented increase in numbers.

How Ronaldo scored his 400th goal post 30

During Al-Nassr's SPL match against Al-Khaleej, Ronaldo received the ball at the edge of the penalty area in the 26th minute, deceiving his marker with a fake shot that left the defender on the ground, per the Independent.

He then composed himself, taking a touch before unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner of the net from just outside the penalty arc. The goal was his 35th for the Knights of Najd in his 41st appearance for the club.

Ronaldo's post 30 vs other strikers

In spite of the valiant efforts of goalkeepers, the relentless dedication of defenders, and the mesmerising movements of midfielders, the spotlight consistently falls on the strikers and forwards, who are responsible for netting the goals.

It is no wonder these players often garner the most recognition among football enthusiasts and claim the bulk of individual accolades, as they are the ones who amass the game's most vital commodity - goals.

While the classic centre-forwards seem to be diminishing due to intricate and more adaptable formations and strategies employed by coaches, the history of the sport boasts some of the most lethal attackers.

Among these are iconic figures such as Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Andriy Shevchenko - to name only a few.

However, how does the post-30 goal tally of the Portuguese veteran compare to that of other legendary strikers who have graced the game?

Comparing Ronaldo to Didier Drogba

The powerfully-built Ivorian striker was part of Roman Abramovich's initial group of star players at Chelsea, significantly contributing to the transformation of the Stamford Bridge club's success.

Drogba's formidable presence haunted defenders in the Premier League, establishing himself among the legends with crucial goals, notably his winning penalty that secured the Blues' first-ever Champions League triumph.

Despite the significance and impact of his goals, he fell short of the 400-goal milestone, amassing a total of 302 goals from 688 games throughout his career, which encompassed stints at Chelsea, Marseille, and six other clubs before his retirement, per Transfermarkt.

Comparing Ronaldo to Wayne Rooney

Another standout figure in the annals of Premier League history and a former teammate of Ronaldo at Manchester United, Wayne Mark Rooney proved to be a persistent and relentless challenge for defenders and goalkeepers alike.

Endowed with significant upper body strength, combined with unwavering determination, Rooney tallied 313 goals, primarily achieved during his tenure with the Red Devils, where he continues to hold the esteemed title of the club's all-time leading scorer.

Comparing Ronaldo to Ruud van Nistelrooy

Renowned for his lethal goal-scoring ability, the iconic Dutchman was unfaltering in front of the net, effortlessly netting goals at every club he graced.

Over the course of his career, Nistelrooy amassed 331 goals, 150 of which were achieved during his time at Man United and 64 goals from 96 games at Real Madrid.

Despite his prolific record, he fell short by 69 goals compared to Ronaldo's extraordinary scoring rate after turning 30.

Comparing Ronaldo to Andriy Shevchenko

Once a Ballon d'Or laureate and hailed as one of the premier sharpshooters in contemporary football history, Shevchenko made his mark at Dynamo Kyiv, establishing himself as an unstoppable force in front of the net.

The former Ukrainian international showcased his prolific scoring ability, amassing an impressive total of 326 goals across 653 games.

While undeniably impressive, this achievement still places him 74 goals behind Ronaldo's remarkable record of 400 strikes.

Comparing Ronaldo to Filippo Inzaghi

With 313 official match goals, he stands as the seventh-highest scorer in Italy and is sixth for the most goals in European club competitions, with a tally of 70 goals, trailing only Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Raúl, and Karim Benzema.

Notwithstanding these remarkable statistics, Inzaghi lags behind the Portuguese icon by an astonishing 87 goals, highlighting his unparalleled ability to find the back of the net - even in his later years.
