Romelu Lukaku provided late drama on Sunday night, and Roma manager Jose Mourinho loved it.

Roma looked down and out as they trailed Lecce 1-0 heading into second-half injury time following a fantastic goal by Pontus Almqvist in the 72nd minute.

Roma turned the tables in stoppage time, however, scoring twice, with Lukaku’s last-gasp strike proving to be the match-winner.

Sardar Azmoun gave the Giallorossi life, scoring a header in the 91st minute to tie the game at 1-1.

Lukaku then sent Roma fans into a frenzy when he scored a fine left-footed strike in the 94th minute to seal the victory for the home side.

The 30-year-old celebrated like crazy after scoring the winning goal, removing his shirt, and running to the track near the fans.

Lukaku was emotional when the referee blew the final whistle, delighted that he gave Roma three points.

Mourinho also was ecstatic after the win, sharing a heartwarming moment with the Belgian star following the come-from-behind victory.

The Roma boss talked about his star forward after the game, saying that Lukaku is an emotional boy whom he knows better than anyone, per Football Italia. Mourinho added that when Lukaku makes a mistake, his heart cries, and he suffers.

Mourinho was talking about Lukaku’s penalty miss in the fifth minute that prevented Roma from taking an early 1-0 lead over Lecce.

Lukaku’s miss was a shock as he had converted all 14 of his previous penalty attempts in Serie A.

Fortunately for the Roma forward, he was able to make amends for that botched penalty with his late goal.
