Just when it seemed that the Reds were headed for an embarrassing loss, Diaz came to Liverpool’s rescue, scoring a header from Harvey Elliot's cross for a dramatic equaliser, per The Guardian.

"Libertad para papa" (Freedom for Dad) immediately became a trending topic on X after Diaz unveiled a T-shirt with that message following his goal against Luton Town.
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp talked to Sky after the Reds' 1-1 draw, praising Diaz for his late goal against Luton.
The Reds boss put it all into perspective, though, saying that it doesn't change the situation and that the most important thing right now is that Diaz's father gets released.
Klopp added in the press conference that the goal is wonderful and emotional "but the real problem is not sorted because of that."
