  • Thomas Tuchel was livid after Bayern Munich's impressive 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund
  • He blasted Lothar Matthaus and Dietmar Hamann, who have been critical of his side
  • Bayern were eliminated from the DFB Cup by Saarbrucken in midweek

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tychel had some words to say to Germany legends Lothar Matthaus and Dietmar Hamann after their 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker.

The two, who work as Bundesliga analysts, were critical of Tuchel's decision after their shock defeat to Saarbrucken in midweek.

After the game, Tuchel was invited for a post-match interview on the pitch, and he went off on the two. He seemed angry with the criticism from Mathaus and Hamann, and he let them know.

Matthaus was in the same interview, and the two exchanged words. When Matthaus said he wanted to say something, Tuchel put the microphone down and walked away from the interview.

"Even with the tensions between the team and the coach and the lack of improvement it was very surprising [to win 4-0]. If Lothar doesn't know what happened then today, then maybe Didi does. I'm super happy with my team," Tuchel said via GOAL.
"You can say whatever you want, but I don't want to be part of the discussion. Today we won 4-0, but now you have to do a 180-degree turn. Have fun!" Tuchel said after Matthaus asked to speak.

Apart from getting knocked out of the DFB Cup, Bayern have been flawless this season. They are second in the Bundesliga, two points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern and Leverkusen are the only unbeaten teams remaining in the Bundesliga.

Harry Kane makes Bundesliga history

After bagging another hat-trick, Kane now has 15 Bundesliga goals. No player in the league's history has ever scored 15 goals in their first 10 games.

Kane is now the leading scorer in the Bundesliga after ten games, one ahead of in-form Stuttgart Serhou Guirassy.

Kane will be looking to add the Bundesliga Golden Boot to the three he won in the Premier League at the end of the season.

Matthaus blasts Tuchel

Sports Brief earlier reported on former Bayern Munich and Germany international Lothar Matthäus, saying the club got worse under Tuchel late last season.

Matthäus questioned Tuchel’s attitude during press conferences and how he tells the media what is wrong instead of his own players:

Tuchel became Bayern manager after sacking Julian Nagelsmann in March.
