However, Mikel Arteta's charges were unable to maintain the streak, with Anthony Gordon's second-half controversial goal condemning them to their first league defeat of the season.

According to Metro UK, the decision to allow the goal to stand after a four-minute-long review by VAR left many enraged.

The offences included whether or not the ball went out of play in the build-up, with footage from the incident showing the ball actually went out of play.

Camera angle shows ball was in play

However, a new camera angle shared by beINSPORTS have now shown that the ball did not go out of play in the build-up to Gordon’s goal with access to a new camera angle.

This is in complete contrast to what Arteta believes, with the Arsenal boss expressing his displeasure with the refereeing decision.

"It’s a disgrace, it’s embarrassing. That’s how I fell and how everyone feels in that [dressing] room," he lamented in his post-match interview.

Arsenal's latest setback leaves them sitting third, with 24 points, three points off the top spot.

Arsenal fans claim they were robbed vs Newcastle

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Arsenal fans lamenting about an apparent “daylight robbery” after their team suffered their first defeat of the season to Newcastle United.

In truth, it was a scrappy goal that summed up the extremely tight nature of the game, as both teams felt like several decisions went against them.
