The former Kaizer Chiefs star sealed a place in the starting line-up at his new club after initially struggling to adjust to life in Romania.

He was also impressive in his team's 1-1 draw against Galati on Tuesday, October 31.

After being presented with the award, the South African centre-back claimed it was his first individual trophy in Romania, and he is happy for the recognition, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.

"It’s my first [individual] trophy in Romania, it feels exciting because of the recognition and the support from the fans," he said.
"Also thanks to my teammates, because without them I don’t think I would’ve received this trophy. Also thanks to the technical team for helping me to improve."

The former Chiefs defender will need to continue his blistering form for FCSB, so he can be considered by Bafana Bafana manager Hugo Broos for next year's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Ivory Coast.
