FootballThomas Partey: Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta Troubled By Midfielder's Injury Woes
- Mikel Arteta has given an update on Thomas Partey's injury status
- The Ghanaian will miss the game against West Ham on Wednesday
- Partey has been sidelined for most of the season due to his injuries
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has been losing sleep over midfielder, Thomas Partey's niggling injury problems.
The Ghana international has been ruled out of the Gunners' Carabao Cup game against West Ham United after picking an injury a fortnight ago before their UEFA Champions League match against Sevilla.
Partey has only seen 20 minutes of action after recovering from an earlier injury that kept him out since August, coming on as a second-half substitute in the game against Manchester City.
Ahead of the London derby, Arteta disclosed that it is a big concern for the club as they try to get their key midfielder back to full fitness.
"I think he will be out for weeks - I don’t know how long but he’s got another appointment today and we will see more after that," he said in the pre-match presser, as quoted by Arsenal's official site.
"It is a big concern because when Thomas is fit and available and he’s been part of the team, we’ve seen the results and the impact that he had," he added.
Partey has made only four appearances in ten Premier League matches this season, per Transfermarkt.
