Sadio Mane's extra time goal earned Al-Nassr victory in the Saudi King Cup of Champions round of 16 game against Al-Ettifaq at the Al Awwal Stadium.

Al-Nassr were reduced to ten men in the first-half after forward Anderson Talisca was sent off.

Despite playing the rest of the match with a numerical disadvantage, the Knights of Najd progressed to the quater-final with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Mane met a cross from the left from Brazilian defender Alex Telles to seal the win for the host.

Al-Nassr are in the race for the treble, as the chase for the Saudi Pro League and the AFC Champions League continues.

Leading scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo failed to hit the target but played an instrumental role in the victory at the Al-Awwal Park.

Al-Nassr will find out their opponents for the next stage of the competition in a draw to be held later this week.

Meanwhile, they will return to action in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday, where they host Al-Khaleej.

Sadio Mane excited after helping Al-Nassr to victory

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mane starred in Al-Nassr's win over Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi King Cup round of 16 tie on Tuesday, October 30.

The former Liverpool star scored the only goal of the game after the home side struggled against the Commandos at the Al-Awwal Park.

The Senegalese international scored in the second half of the extra time, after the ninety minutes of play ended in a goalless draw.

Sports Brief also reported that Senegalese winger Sadio Mane continued his impressive form in Saudi Arabia as he scored the only goal in Al-Nassr's win over Al-Ettifaq in the round of 16 of the King Cup.

The Knights of Najd had a tough encounter against the Commandos but got an extra-time goal to secure a win at the Al-Awwal Park.

Al-Nassr were reduced to ten men in the first half after Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca was sent off before the break.
