Vinicius Junior made sure his mother was present to witness his big day after making sure she was at the ceremony for the 2023 Ballon d’Or Awards in Paris.

The Real Madrid star’s mum, Tatiana, has played a key role in his emergence as one of the world’s best footballers, supporting his dream to become professional since he was seven.

According to Celebseek, Vinicius was nine years old when his parents brought him for a trial at the Flamengo academy, a moment that marked the turning point for the Brazilian international.

The 23-year-old forward won the Socrates Award at the 2023 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris and ensured his mother was there to witness the biggest moment of his career.

Vinicius was recognised for his humanitarian efforts through the "Vini. Jr. Institute", a nonprofit he founded that provides funding for educational software for Brazil's impoverished youngsters.

Vinicius invests in education for kids

Vini has been making efforts to improve the educational infrastructure in Brazil, allowing more children to access education and improve their quality of life, Madrid Universal reports.

This year, the 23-year-old forward’s personal contribution to his foundation is set to exceed $1 million and will rise to $2.5 million in 2024 as he aims to put more children in school back in his homeland.

The award is named after an iconic Brazilian soccer player called Socrates, who captained the national team in 1982 and was named South American Footballer of the Year the following year.

Vinicius provokes Gavi in El Clasico

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Vinicius and Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday, October 28, to take home a crucial three points and bragging rights.

The Brazilian winger had a back-and-forth with the fans, but a video which has emerged online showing him winding up Barcelona's Gavi during the match.

The first El Clasico clash of the 2023/24 season was eventful. Real Madrid won 2-1, but it had several flashpoints throughout the match, and Vinicius Jr. was in some of them.
