Eddie Nketiah was the man of the moment on Saturday, October 28, as Arsenal demolished Sheffield United 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Mike Arteta named a strong side for the Blades clash, Emile Smith Rowe starting in the middle of the park alongside Bukayo Saka, who skippered the side.

However, it was Nketiah who stole the show, with a sensational hat trick that helped the hosts see off Sheffield United.

The Evening Standard reports that the forward opened the scoring in the 28th minute before he scored two more goals in the second half.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, this was Nketiah's first Premier League hatrick for the Gunners.

Fans praise Nketiah after hat-trick

Fans were quick to take to social media in praise of Nketiah following his treble against the Blades.

@JamieOlat posted:

"What a way to complete your hat trick today by Nketiah. Three shots and three goals from it. The first and the third goals are world class and unbelievable. Take a bow, son. You beauty."

@simiafc reckoned:

"Clear of Jackson and Nkunku."

@GunnersD3n added:

"What a hit by Nketiah, what a way to get your hatrick. Exceptional absolutely amazing."

Meanwhile, Arsenal's latest victory leaves them sitting second in the standings with 24 points, two points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Saliba spotted in 'Spurs' kit

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal defender William Saliba has risked the wrath of the Gunners' support base after he was spotted with a 'Spurs' jersey.

Saliba has been a mainstay figure in Mikel Arteta's squad and formed an important part in the team's Premier League title charge last season.
