Gifty Assifuah scored a brace as the Black Queens strolled to a 3-0 win in Cotonou in the first-leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Spartak Subotica forward Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the visitors in the first-half from the spot as the Black Queens return to Ghana with the advantage.
The three-time WAFCON finalist are chasing a first appearance at the Olympic Games, having already eliminated Guinea in the preliminary stage of qualifiers.
In a fiercely contested first-half, it was the Black Queens who will take the lead after Boaduwaa scored from the spot in the 44th minute.
The Black Queens returned from the break chasing a second goal, and after putting pressure on Benin, the host were forced into an error with Assifuah taking advantage and finishing off brilliantly.
Five minutes later, Assifuah netted her second of the game after a good chest control before blasting into the top corner for Ghana's third.
The Black Queens will host Benin in the second leg in Accra next week as the journey to Paris continues on the continent.
