Real Madrid Basket extended their impressive season start to 5-0 with a thrilling victory in El Clasico, narrowly defeating FC Barcelona 65-64 at WiZink Center during Round 5 of the 2023-24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

Leading the charge for Real Madrid Basket, Gabriel Deck scored 20 points, with Vincent Poirier being the only other player in double digits, contributing 14 points. Mario Hezonja also had seven points on the night in addition to his 10 rebounds.

For Barcelona Basket, Willy Hernangomez led the team with 13 points, Jan Vesely added 12, Alex Abrines contributed 11, and Tomas Satoransky chipped in with 10.

As reported by EuroLeaguebasketball.net, Barcelona made a strong start at WiZink Center, finishing the first quarter with a 12-19 lead. However, Real Madrid began their comeback in the second quarter, outscoring their rivals 16-11, entering halftime only two points behind, with the score at 28-30.

The second half saw Real Madrid taking control, as they scored 23 points to Barcelona's 11, going into the final quarter with a 51-41 lead. Despite Barcelona's strong response in the fourth quarter, outscoring Real 23-14, Real Madrid managed to secure the win and assert their dominance in the rivalry.

Amidst this thrilling basketball clash, the presence of Real Madrid's football team players caught the attention of many.

According to Bleacher Report Football, the Brazilian trio comprising Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo de Goes, and defender Eder Militao, along with midfield talents Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchoumeni, were seen on the courtside seats at the WiZink arena, passionately supporting their basketball counterparts.

Following this basketball victory, the Real Madrid football players are now gearing up for their upcoming match against Xavi Hernandez's side in the first El Clasico meeting of the season at the Montuij.
