The impetus for success comes from the main man up top.
Strikers feed off confidence and Vincent Kompany is heaping plenty of it on Lyle Foster.
The South African signed a new five-year contract at Burnley FC as the club signals their faith in the humble goal poacher.
Burnley play at Bournemouth on Saturday in what is already a huge six-pointer on the south coast.
Burnley's top scorer, Lyle Foster received a boost earlier in the week and Kompany is hoping that translates into a winning performance at the Vitality Stadium.
Speaking at a press conference before the weekend, Kompany relayed his observations of Foster.
"We believe he’s going to be an important striker in the Premier League. It took him a few months to settle in but he’s happy, performing well. He’s hard-working and able to compete at this level. It’s good for the club that he has signed."
Burnley currently occupy the third relegation spot, one point ahead of this weekend's opponents, with a win allowing them to leapfrog Luton Town above them.
The Clarets boss is aware of the danger Bournemouth pose at home and stressed that his team needed to be consistent. Emphasising the level he demands, Kompany said:
“When you have the attitude of wanting to win every game. It sets high standards for everyone. If you want to win every game you do by demanding the best from everyone every day."
