Hard work has paid off with a long-term reward.

The South African has adapted to the Premier League well, scoring three goals and contributing two assists in seven games.

Foster has claimed to be extremely happy at finding a club where can settle, listing the supporters, the stadium and the standards of the club to be to his liking

In a statement released by the club, Foster is quoted as saying:

"It’s a club that pushes towards excellence and that’s something I want to be a part of."

Burnley have had a tough start to the season but Foster is confident that the Clarets' form will improve as the season progresses.

Foster is aware that Premier League season are long slogs and that stamina and perseverance are the key to staying in the division.

In Vincent Kompany, they have a manager who has gone the distance before and that brings a calm to Foster.

“There is no need to stress. We must just enjoy what we’re doing and know there’s a recipe for success."

Foster arrived at Turf Moor in January from Belgian side Westerlo, making his first appearance against Ipswich Town in the FA Cup.

His first goal came in the Championship against Wigan Athletic, and he has since provided a goal or assist in four consecutive Premier League games.

Foster off the mark

Sports Brief recently reported on Foster's first winner for Burnley FC.

He was on the scoresheet as Burnley defeated Luton Town in an intense Premier League clash.

Burnley's next assignment is away at fellow strugglers Bournemouth.
