FootballSaudi Pro League vs MLS: Victor Osimhen Chooses Between Both Leagues
- Victor Osimhen has picked between the Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League
- The Nigerian international was linked with a move to Saudi side Al-Hilal in the summer
- The Super Eagles striker failed to explain the reason behind his choice
Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has disclosed the league he would like to move to between the Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Saudi Pro League (SPL).
The Nigerian international was linked with a move to Saudi side Al-Hilal in the summer, but the deal was rejected by both the player and Napoli.
Osimhen, who is still under contract with Napoli until 2025, is yet to sign a new deal with the Italian side, and reports have it that the Saudi Pro League leaders will try to sign him next summer.
In a recent interview with former Arsenal star Emiliano Viviano and ex-Italian international Mario Balotelli, the former Lille striker claimed he would prefer to play in the MLS just like Lionel Messi rather than the SPL if asked to choose.
"If I had to choose between Saudi and MLS? I would choose MLS," he said.
The Nigerian striker admitted that the Saudi Pro League are doing the right things to attract players to the league since signing Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report by GOAL.
"They are trying to develop their league, which is good. One [Ronaldo] of the greatest of all time has gone there. Because of his [Ronaldo's] influence, they have attracted a lot of talented players to also go there," he added.
"So, for me, it's really good, they are trying to build their league into one of the best. For me, they are doing something amazing."

The 24-year-old striker has scored 56 Serie A goals in 91 appearances since moving to Italy, with 26 of the goals coming in their title-winning season, according to Transfermarkt.
In a recent interview, as cited by EuroFoot on X, Osimhen claimed that Serie A is one of the most difficult leagues, and people don't fathom how hard it is to play in the league.
