Harry Maguire could reportedly continue at Manchester United beyond the January transfer window after hitting top form in recent days.
The centre-back had been staring at an uncertain future at Old Trafford after he fell out of favour under Erik ten Hag.
The former United skipper came close to leaving the club in the summer and was linked with a move to West Ham.
According to The Guardian, the England international was expected to join the Hammers in a £30million transfer deal.
However, the proposed move fell through, with Maguire forced to stay at the Theatre of Dreams.
While the former Leicester City ace struggled for game time at the start of the season, Ten Hag has been left with no choice but to afford him some minutes in recent days following injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
Maguire has gone on to justify his inclusion with impressive performances and made a mark on Tuesday night by scoring his side's only goal against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.
His goal came just days after he staged a Man of the Match performance against Sheffield United in the Premier League.
