Andre Onana pulled off the greatest save of his Manchester United career when he denied Jordan Larsson a chance to steal a last-minute point for Copenhagen at Old Trafford on October 24.

It was a much-needed moment for the Cameroon shot-stopper, who has endured a difficult time since making the switch from Inter Milan in the summer.

A last-minute penalty save to win the game is just as good as a last-minute goal to either win the game or secure a draw. Sports Brief takes a look at some of the other memorable penalty saves before the Onana one.

1. Manuel Almunia - Watford vs Leicester (2013)

Watford fans were taken through a rollercoaster of emotions in 2013 after a penalty was awarded against them deep into stoppage time of the Championship semi-finals.

Manuel Almunia, however, pulled off a ridiculous double save, one with his foot and one with his chest, to deny Andy Knockaert. The Hornets then sprung a counter-attack, which ended with Troy Deeney scoring in what is one of the most dramatic moments in football. All this took 18 seconds.

2. Gianluigi Buffon - Fiorentina vs Juventus (2016)

With Juventus leading 2-1 away to Fiorentina in a Serie A clash, the hosts were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute.

Gianluigi Buffon, one of the best goalkeepers in history, came up grand for his side, saving Nikola Kalinic's penalty right at the end.

3. Artur Boruc - Celtic vs Manchester United (2006)

Manchester United fans have gone through what Copenhagen fans felt last night. In 2006, Louis Saha had a chance to win a point for the Red Devils against the Scottish giants.

Artur Boruc however denied the former French striker as Celtic secured progression to the round of 16.

4. Petr Cech - Bayern Munich vs Chelsea (2012)

As far as big moments in football go, the Champions League final is one of the biggest a player can ever play in. Chelsea had managed to withstand the wave at Allianz Arena despite the German champions outplaying them.

Didier Drogba had cancelled out Thomas Muller's opener to force the game into extra time. Five minutes in, Arjen Robben had the chance to restore Bayern's lead, but Cech made an incredible save to deny the Dutchman.

The save was crucial in the grand scheme of things as Chelsea won their first title in the post-match penalty shootout.

5. Joe Hart - Manchester City vs Barcelona (2015)

The penalty save herein did not help the team win a point or all the points, but it makes the list given that Joe Hart denied one of the best in the business - Lionel Messi.

Barcelona were already leading 2-1 when Messi himself won a penalty in the 93rd minute. The English goalkeeper saved Messi's first effort before the Argentine headed wide the rebound.

Maguire, Onana get standing ovation

Harry Maguire and Andre Onana were the unlikely heroes during Manchester United's Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen.

Sports Brief reported that the contribution made by Onana and Maguire in the match saw the duo get a standing ovation from United supporters.
