Betting on Manchester United

The Red Devils will head into the Manchester Derby with momentum on their side after they won each of their last three matches.

After recording a pair of 2-1 wins over Brentford and Sheffield United in the Premier League, United then beat Copenhagen 1-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night to keep their Champions League dreams alive.

Harry Maguire and Andre Onana starred for United in that Champions League win.

Maguire scored the game's only goal in the 72nd minute, while Onana saved a penalty in the last minute to give all three points to Manchester United, per The Guardian.

The Red Devils shift their attention back to the Premier League, where they are currently sitting in eighth place with 15 points from nine matches.

United defeated City the last time they faced each other in the league at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag's men came from behind to record a 2-1 win, with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scoring the goals in the 78th and 82nd minutes, respectively.

Betting on Manchester City

Manchester City finally snapped their two-match losing streak in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Brighton on Saturday.

City have never recorded three consecutive losses in the Premier League under Pep Guardiola, and it remained that way after a strong start against Brighton.

Julian Alvarez opened the scoring with a fine strike in the seventh minute before Erling Haaland doubled City's advantage in the 19th minute.

The Norwegian striker pounced on a mistake by Carlos Baleba, sending his left-footed attempt into the back of the net, per the BBC.

Alvarez and Haaland have been on fire this season, combining for 16 goals and seven assists.

There were nervy moments late on for the defending champions, with Ansu Fati pulling a goal back in the 73rd minute and Manuel Akanji being sent off in second-half injury time.

City held on for the victory to climb to second place in the league table. They trail Tottenham by two points heading into Matchday 10.

City have won four of their last five matches against United, including their last meeting in the 2023 FA Cup Final.
