Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has credited Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, for playing an inspiring role in him getting his debut goal for Leicester City.

The 19-year-old scored his maiden goal for the club in the comeback win against Swansea City on Saturday in the English Championship.

Issahaku is enjoying a good start to his career in England, having carved his way into the first team just a little over a month after signing for the club on loan.

The teen sensation joined the Foxes from Sporting Lisbon in search of regular play time.

"I can't even explain how I am feeling right now, but Kele (Iheanacho) always tells me to score, so I scored," he said after the game in a video shared on social media.

The youngster's performance against Swansea City earned him a place in the English Championship Team of the of Week, as reported by Sky Bet Championship.

Issahaku is expected to keep his starting place in the team when the Premier League promotion chasers host Sunderland on Tuesday night.

Fatawu Issahaku scores debut goal at Leicester

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored his debut Leicester City goal to inspire them to a 3-1 victory against Swansea City.

The 19-year-old, who was making his third start for the club, played a pivotal role in the game as the Foxes extended their winning streak to eight games.

Swansea City got off to a great start after Matt Grimes opened the scoring just 20 minutes into the match at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Ndidi trolls Leicester teammate Issahaku

Sports Brief also reported that Nigeria midfielder, Wilfried Ndidi shared a video of Fatawu Issahaku, taking a nap in the gym following a session with his Leicester City teammates.

Issahaku, who joined the Foxes on loan in the summer transfer window, was visibly tired as he took a nap on one of the benches.

Ndidi and Issahaku have been in fine form for Leicester City as the former Premier League champions head into the international break top of the English Championship table.
