Eden Hazard still got it and left fans wondering why he announced his retirement from professional football early after watching him turn up dazzling in a charity match.
Hazard was the king of entertainment and shouldered his team to titles during his years at LOSC Lille and Chelsea before sealing a dream move to Real Madrid in 2019.
The move spelt the beginning of the end of his career as he struggled with injuries which limited his opportunities. His contract was terminated by mutual consent despite having a year left.
Hazard dazzles in first game after retirement
A week after announcing his retirement, the Belgian playmaker was back on the pitch for the Yellow Pieces charity match, which is aimed at paying the hospital bills of children and adolescents.
He lined up as part of team Varietes CF against Team Calais and proved why many fans never wanted him to retire this early.
As noted by beIN Sports France, he scored once and provided five assists in the game.
As seen in a video shared by Varietes FC on social media, he received a warm reception from fans and his teammates for the night, including a host of football legends.
The match ended 11-2 in favour of Varietes, with Arsenal legend, Robert Pires and Wilfrid Mbappe (Kylian's father) also getting on the scoresheet.
Hazard spotted at Stamford Bridge
