Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton has reacted to Ghana's performance following the 4-0 defeat to the United States in an international friendly in Nashville, Tennessee.
First-half goals from Giovanni Reyna, Christian Pulisic, and Folarin Balogun left the Black Stars at sea as Hughton suffered back-to-back defeats in the October international break.
Despite losing to Mexico on Saturday and to the United States on Wednesday morning, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager has insisted he is the right man for the job.
"If you ask me if I feel like I’m the right person for this job, the answer is yes," he said at the post-match presser.
Hughton went on to apologise to fans of the Black Stars but remains confident the team will bounce back before the start of the World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The four-time African champions begin their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar next month.
Ghana have been drawn in Group B of AFCON 2023 alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique, as reported by myjoyonline.

A double from Giovanni Reyna and strikes from Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balgun left the Black Stars in shreds after just 40 minutes.
Despite making changes in the second half, Ghana could not find a way back and suffered their second friendly loss in the United States.

Meanwhile, Ghana fans took to social media to express their disappointment following the 4-0 defeat to the United States in a friendly tie in Tennessee.
The Black Stars were blown apart after a first-half masterclass with Giovanni Reyna scoring a brace plus goals from Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun.
As Sports Brief reported, the defeat means Ghana have lost back-to-back games for the first time since Hughton took over as coach of the Africans.
