FootballChelsea vs Arsenal: Blues Legend Makes Bold Prediction for London Derby
- Chelsea are scheduled to host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge after the international break
- The Gunners remain unbeaten so far this season, winning six of their last eight outings
- Chelsea, meanwhile, have been poor, having won just three of their eight fixtures
Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly has made his prediction for the Blues' Premier League clash against rivals Arsenal.
The Blues are scheduled to host Mikel Arteta's charges at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 21, with the hosts keen to record a positive result after a disappointing start to the new season.
The West Londoners have endured a frustrating run of results that has seen them pick up just three wins in eight outings so far.
Chelsea's woeful form has them sitting 11th in the Premier League standings with 11 points, a point behind 10th-placed Manchester United.
This is in complete contrast to Arsenal, who have been in top shape since the start of the campaign.
Metro UK reports that the Gunners humbled Manchester City 1-0 in their last outing before the international break and remain unbeaten.
Desailly backs Chelsea to beat Arsenal
Despite Arsenal's impressive form, Desailly does not see them beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
According to the former defender, Mauricio Pochettino's side have what it takes to see off the Premier League title favourites.
"It looks impossible, but I’ll go for a 3-1 win [to Chelsea]," the Wolrd Cup winner told Gambling Zone.
"Why not? This is the beauty of the Premier League. As soon as a team has a mental drop and isn’t ready for the intensity of a match, they can lose.
"Everyone now knows that Arsenal are a part of the great teams in the Premier League, and Chelsea will know how important the psychological aspects of the game are. I do believe Chelsea can win, even if it’s Arsenal," he continued.

The cracker comes at a time when the two teams are worlds apart in terms of form, with Mikel Arteta's charges yer to suffer defeat so far this season.
