Arda Guler is not having the best of starts to his Real Madrid career, but the young midfielder is still delighted to have signed for the Spanish giants despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 18-year-old Turkish international caught the world’s attention at Fenerbahce last season, sparking several European giants to make a move for him, including PSG.
According to PSG Talk, Guler was interested in the PSG project but was not convinced by the direction of the club, prompting him to sign for Real Madrid when their offer was presented.
PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi had high hopes for landing the teenager and was ready to put the €20 million on the table for the Turkish midfielder and also offer him a higher wage bill.
Guler has yet to make his competitive debut for Real Madrid since his summer arrival after battling two major injuries, but he is now scheduled to return before the end of October.
AC Milan to swoop in for Guler
Meanwhile, AC Milan are looking to take advantage of any potential issues between Guler and Real Madrid following his tough start to life, by submitting an offer for the midfielder, Sempre Milan reports.
The 18-year-old has suffered two major injuries after impressing in pre-season and is yet to make his competitive debut for Los Blancos after his highly-publicised transfer this summer from Fenerbahce.
Milan has supposedly offered the same fee of €20mil that Real Madrid paid Fenerbahce for Guler, although it is unlikely the Spanish giants will decide to cash in on the midfielder at this stage.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric showering praise on Guler, referring to the young talent as a 'once-in-a-generation' player.
