Ahead of Brazil's World Cup qualification match against Venezuela, Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus praised the 23-year-old forward's growing significance at his club, as reported by Madrid Universal.

Gabriel Jesus hails Vinicius Jr.

Speaking to the media alongside interim coach Fernando Diniz, Jesus did not hold back the plaudits and admiration for the young Vinicius.

As quoted by Madrid Xtra, the former Manchester City forward said:

"Viní is showing how good he is, how important he is for Real Madrid and for the national team. I am very happy with his progress. He is very happy, cheerful, and he transmits very positive energy."

Underlining Vinicius's performance against Osasuna, he added,

"At Real Madrid, he made a successful return from injury, scoring goals and contributing to the team's victories."

Despite a prolonged injury setback, the Los Blancos attacker has been directly involved in four goals in his seven appearances this season.

With expectations mounting for Vinicius to assume a leadership role in the Brazilian national team, many anticipate him leading the Selecao's charge for a World Cup qualification spot, possibly securing their first title at the Mundial since their 2002 triumph in Korea/Japan.

Vinicius show off samba moves

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga showcased their Samba-inspired goal celebration during Real Madrid's commanding victory over Osasuna.

Their close bond, developed during the off-season, was evident as they unveiled their synchronised celebration.

The 23-year-old's return from injury has provided a significant lift for Real Madrid, who currently lead La Liga with an impressive 24 out of 27 possible points from nine matches.
