- Harry Kane's transfer to Bayern Munich has been greeted with scepticism given his age
- The 30-year-old England captain has settled into the German club in a remarkable form

Harry Kane has settled into life at Bayern Munich like a duck taking to the water. The 30-year-old striker has displayed remarkable form since his debut against RB Leipzig, contributing to 13 goals for the Bavarian club.
Kane's performance has silenced the sceptics, who initially questioned the substantial transfer fee paid by the Bundesliga champions to Tottenham Hotspur for his services.
As England prepares for a crucial Euro qualification match against Italy, Kane addressed the media and mentioned the doubts about his longevity at the peak of his career.
In response to these comments, the England captain compared himself to other elite athletes, most notably Ballon d'Or winners, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The Leyton Orient Academy graduate emphasised that he considers his career to be only at its halfway point, highlighting his determination to achieve long-lasting success.
He said as quoted by the Independent:
"The common perception in sports is that once you reach 30, people begin to think it's the end. However, I view it differently; I believe I have the second half of my career ahead of me. I've already enjoyed nine or ten years at the highest level, and I'm aiming for another eight or nine years at the pinnacle of the game."
Suggesting that his prime years may still be ahead of him, Kane admitted there was still room for improvement:
"If you look at many top-level players: Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic, they seem to get even better as they approach 30. In many sports, this trend exists. When everything falls into place in your personal life, you become physically and mentally comfortable, allowing you to focus solely on football."

On the lighter side of things, Sports Brief previously reported on Harry Kane meeting his German lookalike in the European country last month.
He scored his first hat-trick in the Bundesliga, donned the traditional Lederhosen, and drank beer at the annual Oktoberfest celebrations.
That was not all; Kane also got to meet his famous German doppelganger at the festival and got to take a picture with him for the first time.
